Set Up Two-Factor Authentication
2FA adds a second step to your login so only you can access your account, even if your password is stolen.
Authenticator App (Recommended)
- 1.Download an authenticator app: Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password.
- 2.Go to Account Settings → Security → Two-Factor Authentication.
- 3.Click Enable 2FA and scan the QR code with your authenticator app.
- 4.Enter the 6-digit code from your app to confirm setup.
- 5.Save your backup codes somewhere safe — these are your only way back in if you lose your phone.
SMS 2FA
SMS codes are less secure than an authenticator app (SIM-swap attacks), but are better than no 2FA at all.
To enable SMS 2FA, go to Account Settings → Security and add your phone number.
⚠️ Lost access to your 2FA?
If you've lost your phone or authenticator app:
- 1. Use one of your saved backup codes to log in
- 2. If you don't have backup codes, contact support with proof of account ownership
- 3. We may require ID verification before removing 2FA
